"Growing up I enjoyed drawing and building models; the process of taking an abstract idea and turning it into something real was captivating to me as a young child (and still is to me as an adult). Art became my favorite class in elementary school. Later in high school while taking college-level classes such as calculus and physics, I began to recognize my ability to think critically and solve complex problems. This led me to choose Architectural Engineering as my major in college so that I could gain background knowledge of architecture theory and history while pursing an engineering degree. Upon graduation, I have found structural engineering to be a good fit and look forward to shaping our built environment as I begin my professional career."
