Project Details

On the north shore of Lady Bird Lake, two six-story office buildings bookend the enigmatic Austin City Hall. The rust-colored stacked limestone facade integrates the garage and office buildings into a single visual structure.

Cast-in-place flat plate concrete construction in the office buildings allows for increased day light at the building perimeter and eases coordination for the mechanical systems.

"The strength of the CSC complex is in its urbanity. Its buildings were conceived as parts of a civic and commercial landscape, not as discrete, grandstanding objects."
